Past Karma has its defintie fruit to bear or accept. Whatever they can be good or bad. This is our destiny to bear or accept the fruit of past karma. Regarding your question choosing a path is totally dependable on one's intellectual power. If you are passing thru good position and mahadasha of a planet then you will automatically choose the right path and but if you are passing thru bad position or mahadasha of a planet then you will have to understand the current situtation that my time is mooving worse then what i should choose the path that gives me fruitful result, for this you can pray daily of Navgriha Stort.
